Teaching Meets Skepticism at Dragon*Con

Teaching Meets Skepticism at Dragon*Con

Posted January 1, 2009

Yes, it’s Dragon*Con again! The gift of the Con just keeps on giving!

TeachingEpisode number 63 of the Skeptic Zone podcast has been released. In addition to great segments on crystal power, the episode features audio of the last panel I participated in at Dragon*Con: a panel discussing skepticism in the classroom with moderator Kylie Sturgess, Martin Bridgstock, Matt Lowry, D.J. Grothe, and myself.

AND…
For those in southern California, the Skeptic Zone’s host, Richard Saunders is visiting from Australia. He’ll be attending a ‘Meet Up’ of Skeptics in the OC Saturday (tomorrow!) night. Since he has come all the way from the other side of the planet just to drink with us, I think I can make the hour-long trek down to see him. Can you?
*wink*

You look just like you’re about to host a news show! “Sick of Oprah? Here’s something different…’
…I look like someone who was so paranoid about wearing that horrid lime-green identification badge that you can’t miss it in every photo… :/

And here I was thinking that you look so comfortable!
Can you imagine people tuning in thinking they’ll see Oprah, and getting ME? That MUST be how some of my students feel. :)

Yeah! I was so disappointed that I had to miss that panel because we had to fly home earlier that day. Can’t wait to finally hear at least part of it!
